Gayle
Smith, class of 1974 and currently serving as Special Assistant
to President Barack Obama, will address members of the Class of
2009 and their guests at Bexley High School’s graduation, set
for Sunday, 6/7/2009 at 4:00pm in the school’s stadium. Ms.
Smith was until February 2009 a Senior Fellow at the think tank,
the Center for American Progress, and Director of the
International Rights and Responsibilities Program. In March, she
was named Senior Director for Relief, Stabilization and
Development at the National Security Council.

Alex Haldi, class of 2002, and his design and production
associates have been commissioned by veterans’ organizations to
assemble a cross-medium collection of stories about war. They
are asking veterans and their loved ones for stories about war
and its effects -- from facing combat to returning home or just
