CLASS OF 1953

October 2008
Barbara Sussman Levenson – Miami FL

I am retired from everyday work as a judge, but still sit as a senior judge in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. My new career is very exciting. My first mystery novel, Fatal February, will be published February 1, 2009 (Oceanview Publishing). It is the first in a series. The protagonist is a criminal defense attorney in Miami named Mary Magruder Katz. She is half Jewish and half Southern Baptist with a hot Latin boyfriend and a host of quirky clients. For more information, please see my website, BarbaraLevenson.com. We spend our summers in Quechee VT. While I am busy writing, Bob is enjoying golf. We celebrated our 53rd anniversary this past August.

The Bexley Class of 1953 has been holding mini-reunions in the years between the "BIG" reunions (50, 55). Last year the class continued the Bexley mini-reunion, but also held a fun reunion in Florida. On October 5 this year, another mini was enjoyed. Attendees are usually from the Columbus area, but we did have a couple from Nebraska! (Susie Puckett Meyer and her husband, Gene) Next year is the big "double nickel" - plans are already in the making!
